Year 1 Highlights
In our inaugural year of ownership, Black Pearl Sports Group successfully took control of the Perth Heat with less than two months before the season commenced, rapidly operationalising the club from the ground up. This included establishing core operational structures, staffing, player logistics, and commercial frameworks in an accelerated timeframe.
Key international relationships were strengthened and expanded, reinforcing the Heat’s global positioning. Strategic partnerships were deepened with the Tampa Bay Rays, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees, while also establishing new pathways into Asia through collaboration with Brothers Baseball (Taiwan). These relationships have been critical in enhancing player pipelines, high-performance standards, and global relevance.
From a community and development perspective, the club launched a suite of grassroots and innovation-led initiatives. This included the introduction of Perth Heat Club Day Clinics, the Perth Heat Academy, and the rollout of the Perth Heat Way technology platform, providing modern, accessible player development pathways aligned with global best practice.
Fan engagement and media output were also significantly enhanced, with upgrades to the game day broadcast experience, improving both in-stadium and digital consumption and elevating the overall professionalism of the product.
